I graduated as a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort in 2011. Throughout my studies, I developed a growing interest to understand how drugs work, and a passion for molecular pathways that can influence the life of many. I am now a PhD candidate in the Pharmacology Department at Cambridge University, in Dr Murrell-Lagnado lab. My interest focuses on P2X7, a purinergic receptor that has been shown to play a key role in the inflammatory processes. I aim to investigate, using a broad range of techniques, how this receptor is targeted to the plasma membrane, and what are the interacting molecules that influence this process. This work will hopefully lead to a better understanding of the inflammatory response, and of the ability of P2X7 to promote cellular death as well as growth. Aside my PhD, I am a strong believer in human connections and I am constantly seeking for ways to understand the complexity of human behaviors.
Interests: People, Social activities, dance, sport, wildlife and environment protection.
