  • Alumni event
A virtual network, regular face to face events and numerous activities help build and strengthen our alumni community.

Online network

All Gates Cambridge Scholars and Alumni have access to the members' area of the website. This area provides enhanced content, resources and numerous ways to connect with other members.

Trust-led events

There are a number of in-person events hosted by the Trust for Alumni. These include:

  • Biennial Alumni event - the Trust is working with the Alumni Association and Scholars' Council on a major alumni conference in July 2016 in Cambridge, which we hope will become a biennial event
  • Reception at the British Embassy in D.C. and Gates Foundation Seattle - when the Gates Cambridge US interviews are in those cities
  • Annual Lecture - an eminent speaker talks on a topic of importance and current interest; this is open to all and local alumni are encouraged to attend
  • Panel discussions - e.g. a panel on global health and climate at the Royal Society in London with distinguished figures and alumni as panelists

GCAA and Alumni-led events events :

The GCAA host numerous local events for Alumni. These include:

  • Distinguished speakers series - e.g. Nobel Laureates and other leaders in their fields
  • Networking events - e.g. cultural visits and hackathons
  • Professional development events - e.g. career seminars
  • Meet and greet for Alumni and incoming Scholars

Individual Alumni are also supported in planning and hosting events in their region.
