Bestselling author to speak about how to redefine success

Best-selling author Alan Guarino is in conversation about leadership at a fireside event in February.

Best-selling author Alan Guarino will be in conversation with Professor Kamal Munir as part of Gates Cambridge’s On Leadership series early next month.

Guarino is author of The Greatness Code, which distils decades of experience into a practical framework for defining and achieving meaningful success. It features in USA Today’s Top 10 bestsellers list this week. Professor Kamal Munir is Pro-Vice-Chancellor of University Community and Engagement at the University of Cambridge.

Guarino has a broad range of knowledge about different aspects of leadership. Currently Vice Chairman at Korn Ferry, where he advises CEOs and boards on leadership, succession and organisational performance, he is a former US Army officer and founder of a successful Wall Street search firm. Guarino is a recognised commentator on business and strategy, regularly appearing on major media outlets.

The discussion, titled The Greatness Code: Redefining success through purpose, passion and persistence, is jointly organised with the Judge Business School and sponsored by LSEG. It will explore how purpose, passion and persistence can reshape our understanding of success, both individually and collectively and will explore the ideas behind The Greatness Code and the experiences that informed it. The Greatness Code follows on from Guarino’s 2007 book Smart Is Not Enough!: The South Pole Strategy and Other Powerful Talent Management Secrets.

The event, which is open to the public, will take place on 4th February in The Auditorium, Pembroke College, Cambridge, with event registration from 5:00pm. The talk begins promptly at 5:30pm. The event ends at 7pm. Tickets can be booked here.
