Biography

I work in Philosophy and in Christian Theology. Several of my present-day research topics first caught my attention while I was a school pupil at Altes Gymnasium Bremen (Germany) and during my undergraduate studies in Philosophy and Theology at the University of Edinburgh. I completed my school education as the winner of the Karl Nix Foundation’s annual Prize for the highest ranked Abiturientin (female secondary school graduate) in the state of Bremen and later graduated from Edinburgh at the top of my year. After my time in Edinburgh, I moved to Cambridge to take the MPhil in Theology, Religion, and Philosophy of Religion at Clare College. I am returning to Clare for my PhD project, a philosophical and theological study of Karl Barth’s engagement with Ludwig Feuerbach’s atheist theory of religion. I am grateful to the Gates Cambridge Trust for funding this research.
