Biography

Tililenji has always been fascinated by people, how they learn, connect, and build meaningful experiences. Growing up in Zambia and later teaching History in secondary schools sparked her interest in identity, opportunity, and the power of belonging. She recently completed her PhD in Education at the University of Cambridge, where her research explored how young people navigate their aspirations and sense of self in rural contexts. Having personally experienced the transformative impact of scholarship communities, she is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and connected. As Community Platform Officer, she helps manage the GatesConnect platform to foster belonging and meaningful engagement across the Gates Cambridge community.
